Founder and owner of Skin Indulgence, formally known as Face & Body Escentials, Karen Layton has been a California state licensed esthetician since 1984. She has actively worked all over Northern California starting off as a makeup artist assisting Hollywood famous makeup artist David Starr; followed by practicing her esthetics in quaint little spas, full service salons as well as world renowned day spas and retreats in Napa Valley. She has also worked in retail at The Body Shop and Garden Botanical and has opened five stores from ground up as a retail manager! She regularly continues to attend marketing and skin care classes and trade shows.
She is dedicated to providing not only five star quality services but educating her clients with the latest information in the skin care industry. As well as mentoring other new estheticians just starting out, she has definitely raised the bar for a higher quality of esthetics here in Solano County. She also volunteers her gifts and talents to local churches which are reaching out to women in the area to teach these women a better way of life. Through love and patience, a loving touch of a warm hand and a stroke of a colored lip gloss, she has brightened many dark days and is a true inspiration to all that meet her.
